It started as a critique, not a product.
Eagle Logic didn't start from a product idea. It started from a critique. Steve laid out his read of where the AI ecosystem is going wrong in a talk at GDEVCON EU in the fall of 2025, and Eagle Logic is the work of delivering on it.
He comes at machine learning from the outside, without much of the field's inherited dogma or baked-in assumptions. The focus is the math: designing models and systems that complement each other and push toward explainability instead of away from it.
That work became a deep-tech research portfolio, and we founded Eagle Logic to bring it to market, starting with the ability to steer a model's behavior directly. PRIOR, our behavioral control plane, is the first product to come out of it.
No model should be a black box
If you run a model yourself, you should be able to see what it's doing. We mean the internal state behind a decision, not a guess read off the text. Explainability is the starting point, not an add-on.
Your behavior, your environment
Open weights mean independence. Our tools run where your model runs (your VPC, your hardware, or fully air-gapped), and your data never leaves your environment. Controlling behavior shouldn't cost you control of your data.
Honest benchmarks build trust
We publish limitations alongside results. A benchmark that shows what doesn't work is worth more than a curated set of wins, and reproducible methodology isn't optional.

Founder
Steve is a veteran software engineer. His career has been in test, measurement, and control systems, from embedded devices to local and cloud based solutions, with a lot of that work built in LabVIEW.
Machine learning drew him in seriously in 2021, after GPT-3 landed. He worked through the DeepLearning.AI specializations, read widely, and has followed the field's progress closely ever since.
He's drawn to deterministic, explainable ways to augment what AI can do, and he sees AI as one part of an effective system rather than a silver bullet. He founded Eagle Logic to democratize steering and bring the capability to market.
